RTW are excited to announce that the latest patch, 1.4.1, will be rolled out to the live service today!

The 1.4.1 patch brings with it a HUGE number of changes, including the new 'Ready system', driving and weapon balance improvements as well as Advanced Graphics options.

The patch also contains a number of changes that were not on the PTW build, but made as a result of feedback from the players.

APBMonkey announces the news we've all been waiting for...

We're pleased to announce that the PTW is will be back online from Tuesday 17th!

The PTW (Public Test World) is where we get you, the players, to try out the latest changes and give us feedback before a patch goes live. With the return of the PTW we decided that you should try out the latest and greatest patch, 1.4.1! This isn't just another set of bug fixes; this is the beginning of some of the most fundamental changes to date. These are the APB features you've been waiting for!

So without further ado, enjoy a sneak peak of what to expect when we open the doors to the PTW next week!

GENERAL

  • An issue has been resolved where players with AMD Phenom processors were getting disconnected after joining a district.
  • A number of server crashes have been fixed.
  • A number of client crashes have been fixed.
  • Players and Clans will now receive the correct reward packages for monthly leagues.

The 1.3.1 patch for APB will be going live on Tuesday August 10th and features a plethora of exciting changes to weapons and missions. If you have yet to read about some of the upcoming changes be sure to stop by our forums and take a look here. Full patch notes will be published on Tuesday.

Players who were unable to retrieve their monthly league rewards will be able to do so after 1.3.1 goes live, via the in-game mail system. If you are one of the unfortunate players whose mails have been deleted or expired, we will release more information on how to reclaim them on Tuesday.

The release of the patch will be accompanied by a period of maintenance lasting for four hours from 09:00 BST to 13:00 BST after which, players will be able to commence San Paros regularly scheduled urban warfare.

With the upcoming changes to the NL-9 in 1.3.1, Jericho discusses some of the other LTL changes we've been experimenting with.

In the aftermath of the inevitable NL-9 debate, I wanted to give you a heads up about what we're currently working on with regards to LTLs and some of the ideas which we're looking at prototyping over the coming weeks. As ever, these changes will appear on PTW before going anywhere near the Live service to allow player feedback.
