Interesting :) it's an idea that's been around for a long time in the video production industry - creating digital copies at higher resolutions then cleverly downscaling them for Blu Rays, etc. etc.

I get the impression that this isn't gonna be cheap resource-wise, though!

I use it with all my games now and hardly notice any performance hit - it does depend on the game engine as to how high I can push things but several games I'm running at 3.0x scaling and still hitting 60fps.
