Nice Birdy! You'll have to let me know how you get on :D

I'm going down the same path, as I didn't need a new PSU at the moment I used the cash I put aside to ordered 2x Samsung 850 250Gb drives and going to raid them. I also used the Amazon gift voucher I got a christmas when I got the extra £7 off. So in total it cost me £91.98 all in.

Ok so my GPUs are back-to-back, this is causing the original card to not get as much cooling. To solve this issue I have ordered a PCI-E 16x Extender.

They dont run to hot unless on full load constantly, but i'd rather keep them away from each other. My SLI bridge is a long one too so will give me the extra length needed.

Nice...2 Samsung 850's will be awsome. I couldn't get past the reviews as on Amazon it had over 2000 5* reviews compared to most others that had on average 4 1/2*. My original choice was the OCZ ARC but i didn't realise i had the vector (vertex replacement) so thought i'd use the voucher to go better and have the Samsung as my primary drive as it will have a fresh 3 year warranty.

Good plan with your card, wouldn't want them both frying on you...best to be safe than sorry. You'll need to let us know your results when you test it. Best things will look awsome.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760(2x) and Intel Core i5-2500K Processor

You can see from the 'Achievement' called Brawn on the right hand side that my GPU is now being limited by my CPU. GPU should be getting over 6k and the SLI should be getting around 12k score (there are people getting around 15k score with a 4770k CPU).

Oh well, im hoping to upgrade that soon too!

Good read with interesting results.

Game Performance Using Different Storage Media

TL;DR
From the data collected, storage devices have little to no impact on performance while the game is running. Where it impacts the most is where there’s lots of loading, such as starting a new game, loading a new level, or loading from a save file.

Games with smaller maps to act as game levels, such as first-person shooters, strategy games, and action games, can remain on an HDD without fear of performance loss during gameplay.

Detailed open-world games, such as GTA V and Fallout 4, should be on an SSD, and games that you’ve heavily modded.
