Loving Windows 7 but UAC had to go!

Talk about technical stuff; hardware, software etc. etc.

Loving Windows 7 but UAC had to go!

Postby Extreme_One » Sat Jul 24, 2010 3:31 pm

So yeah, finally got around to installing Windows 7 but man that UAC crap is so annoying.

Surely if I start an app and I'm asked "Are you sure?" after let's say the 5th time I agree that I did actually mean to start that app then you'd have thought that the OS would be intelligent enough to say "Hey he seems to be comfortable with that app so let's not nag him any more" but NO the nags just continue regardless.

So I've disabled the stupid UAC nags for my account.
I was capable of running XP safely without the nags so I think I can handle it.

Otherwise I'm impressed, Win 7 is FAST and stable. Loving it.

6 years later and I very quickly disabled UAC in Windows 10 too!
