Extreme, with the upcoming Horizon update I was thinking maybe we can look for more people to play with, as with all games like this its better to play with others instead of being alone (definitely since I got raped the last time I was on my own).

Possibly, but sometimes you can join casual groups that only playing now and again, and if its a big enough group then it wouldnt matter so much if you don't play enough but when you do it'll be with more people.
I've been looking into the VoiceAttack program for Elite, not so much for the voice commands anymore as I have discovered that you can also get some AI packs that will talk to you and almost fill the empty voids between jumps and most of them are quite funny.

Materials are chemical elements that can be found on the surfaces of planets and moons.
They do not take up space in cargo racks. Materials have a separate inventory, and are only stored in tiny quantities. The maximum that can be carried at once is 300 units.
Materials remain available when switching between vehicles, and in the case of vehicle destruction they are saved by the pilot's escape system.
Material sources on planets and moons can be located by use of the Wave Scanner of an SRV. When they are destroyed by weapons fire from a ship or SRV they explode into chunks of materials, which can be collected using a ship or SRV's Cargo Scoop.
The type of materials vary depending on the geology of the body, the type of world it is and where it is situated. As well as sources which are natural parts of the body, there are meteorites which fell from space, cargo racks of downed ships, and perhaps other more mysterious sources to be found.
